HERE YOU ARE AFFIRMED

We are united around God’s call to nurture spirituality, embrace diversity and share Christ’s love in the world.

Community Connections

Peace and Justice Team Join us as we meet monthly to plan community service projects, advocate for others, and allocate outreach funds to organizations that reflect Peace’s mission such as: Oxford Elementary School, Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, ELCA World Hunger and local foodbanks, Holiday Angels, LGBT Center of Cleveland, Global Refuge (formerly known as Lutheran Immigrant and Refugee Services), Maximum Accessible Housing of Ohio.

Fellowship Team Be a party planner on the Peace Fellowship Team. Help to facilitate anything pertaining to food at Peace. And we eat a lot!

Creation Care Team Be a part of our Creation Care Team, where we lead initiatives like converting lighting to LEDs, auditing energy use, composting food scraps with Rust Belt Riders, and maintaining pollinator gardens and recycling bins at church.

Men’s Breakfast You are welcome on the second Saturday of each month (September through May) at 9am for breakfast and meaningful conversation. Deepen your relationships with each other and God in a welcoming environment.

Children’s Closet The Children’s Closet is a free shop stocked with new and gently used donations of children’s clothing (size newborn-6x), toys, books, and baby items. We invite you to shop on the first and third Friday of each month, 10am-noon, and the second Saturday of each month, 10am-noon. Donations are accepted when the Children’s Closet is open, or during office house (Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm).

Black History Join us in celebrating Black History throughout the year, especially in February and on Juneteenth.  Engage with our congregation through inspiring speakers, member storytelling, special music and soul food!

LGBT We welcome and affirm you, no matter which letter of the LGBTQIA+ community you may identify with. Through group discussions, adult forum presentations, preaching and prayers, and community Pride events, we recognize the diverse expressions of the LGBT community as holy and blessed.

Alcoholics Anonymous Whether you’ve just hit rock bottom or have been on your recovery path for many years, you can find the support you need. Our church building hosts four different weekly AA groups. https://www.aacle.org/

3rd Thursdays of every month 5 pm – 6:30 pm

Do you have a passion for cooking, serving, or maybe you’d like to help us clean up, collect compost, or maybe you just like to eat and have a good meal and meet some of our community.

Join us for a home-cooked community meal, free of charge. About half of the diners at the meal are church members and about half are guests from the community. All are welcome. The food is always good and the conversation, fabulous!
